Get to Know Your Metals with Pretty Savage Jewellery! 🖤✨

SOLID GOLD (10KT / 14KT / 18KT)

Solid gold is the ultimate jewellery superstar! 🌟 It doesn’t tarnish, corrode, and has super low reactivity to chemicals and other metals. Its durability and timeless beauty make it the go-to for crafting stunning pieces. No wonder it’s one of the most precious and sought-after metals! 💛✨

STERLING SILVER

Sterling silver holds a special place in our Pretty Savage hearts. 🤍 Its demi-precious properties make it lighter and more durable than gold. Crafted from pure silver and copper, it’s perfect for intricate designs and detailing.

But hey, no one’s perfect! Sterling silver can tarnish over time, but don’t worry—we’ve got your back! Most of our sterling silver pieces are plated with 14kt or 18kt gold to keep them shining bright. Need a quick fix? A gentle clean with a silver polishing cloth will bring back the bling! ✨

PLATED BRASS

Brass might seem humble, but it’s got some big perks! 💖 Its affordability, malleability, and durability mean we can have more fun with playful designs—from oh-so-cute to bold statement pieces.

Brass has a sensitive side, though, so we plate it in gold, rose gold, or rhodium to keep it looking fabulous. Just give it a little extra TLC, and it’ll stay stunning! 🥰

TITANIUM

Looking for a piece that can keep up with your busy lifestyle? Titanium is your BFF! 💪 It’s durable, tarnish-resistant, and hypoallergenic—perfect for sensitive skin and everyday wear. While its hardness limits intricate designs, titanium’s toughness makes it a practical and stylish choice! 🖤

SURGICAL STEEL

This all-rounder is a fan favorite for a reason! 🛡️ Surgical-grade stainless steel is durable, affordable, and hypoallergenic for most skin types. Its bio-compatible properties make it ideal for piercing posts, ensuring comfort and safety. 🤍✨

Jewellery Aftercare Tips 💎✨

Want to keep your Pretty Savage Jewellery shining like new? Follow these tips:

Routine Cleaning

  • Wash your hands with antibacterial soap before handling your jewellery. 🧼

  • Remove the jewellery carefully, especially if it hasn’t been removed in a while.

  • Soak it in warm water mixed with antibacterial cleaning solution for 3 minutes. Alternatively, use boiled water with a pinch of salt. 🌊

  • Rinse thoroughly and inspect for debris. Use a cotton bud for tricky spots.

  • Dry with a paper towel or gauze before putting it back in.

For Oral Piercings 💋

  • Soak jewellery in alcohol-free mouthwash or rinse with saline solution (boiled water + sea salt).

  • Swish your mouth with the solution to keep the piercing clean. (P.S. Don’t swallow it!)

Cleaning the Piercing Site

  • Wash your hands thoroughly. Apply saline solution with gauze, using a clean part of the gauze each time.

  • Turn the jewellery gently twice to work the solution through the piercing.

  • Repeat morning and evening for 2-3 weeks.

DO’s & DON’Ts

DO:

  • Clean your jewellery regularly.

  • Be patient with the healing process (3 months to a year!).

DON’T:

  • Fiddle with your piercing or let others touch it.

  • Expose the piercing to dirty environments.

  • Remove jewellery before it’s fully healed.

How to Make Saline Solution 🌊

  1. Boil a pint of water and add 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt. Let it cool.

  2. Use gauze (not cotton wool!) to clean the piercing site. Don’t double dip!

Remember, all piercings weep lymph during healing—this is totally normal! Just soak off any dry crust with saline solution. If you’re worried about your piercing, consult the professionals who did it. 🖤
